usb driver filter

I am still very new to linux in general so the install process took some figuring out. At my mother in lawÃÂÂs house I never had a problem connecting to. her router before, but I did in Arch. Sometimes what would happen would be that WICD would refuse to usb driver filter to anything, even a wired connection,. and all form of networking would be disabled. I8217d ether say you had some sort or Driver conflict or a version. issue, I really cant say. I had a similar issue when setting up my laptop on a certain Distro.
