Ive never bothered to uninstall Nvidia drivers first, the new ones always seem to take. care of it nicely. A few years back I had problems with my XFX nVidia GeForce 7800gt. It was fine day in and day out then all of the sudden one day it wasnt samsung q20 driver right. I found numerous 7800gt cards installed even though the new drivers I had been loading all. along said they uninstalled the previous driver versions. I uninstalled all 7800gts in Safe Mode, Device Manager then rebooted. Once I returned to Windows I reinstalled the 7800gt drivers and still had the samsung q20 driver problem.
